magic 2 with gameshark problem

gameshark works fine on ps2 games but on ps1 games.(games are all copies by the way) it'll crash during the game, slow down and video gets all messed up. is there a way to fix this problem?

Are you loading the Gameshark in PS1 or PS2 mode?

PS1 mode, game wouldn't even load on PS2 mode

Try loading by holding down reset until you see "Sony Computer Entertainment" and then tap reset again.

I think one of the versions of Magic 2 had some problems with PSX games and corrupt video/slowdown.

Exactly which GS are you using? The bonus PSX disc that comes with the GS2 or an original PSX Gameshark Lite disc?

Is it the original or a backup copy? If it's an original, use BlindWrite Suite or CloneCD to backup the original to CD-R, as backups seem to boot way smoother than originals for some reason. You'll still need the dongle...
