Yep, no such thing as a Made in USA PS2. All are made in Japan at one of 3 Factories, and are just rescently having some made in China.

The main difference between the Japanese consoles compared to the US and PAL ones is, "quality". The Japanese make sure their own have the best and the rest of the world get the dregs. You only need to have a look at the quality of the early Jap PS2's to know they were made so much better than other PS2's.

I agry with Relayer because I had one Japanese SCPH-10000,
It was 399US$ then it first time launched in Japan March 2000, and then I opened console for modding it, there was a lot of diferences betwen nowdays consoles and that one. That one has much better quality.

Whitmin, thats messed up. We can do anything, and we are make anything. the reason we dont ameks hit no more is cause our govt and our greedy ass corparations take their business to 3rd world countires, where they can exploit and abuse labourers there, since they cannot here. Its sad, its not our abilities thats tops us, its our society, and the sickness of companies, and the looking the other way by our govt.
