M2 pro + v7 problem.. weird.

I have this very weird problem..Some games boot up and work fine BUT some games boot up and freeze on me when I try to start a New Game. For example, Maximo, I boot past the Capcom logo and hit start then I hit start again to start a New Game..It would just go to a black screen n freeze..Games like tekken4 dvd-rip wont even bootup after I hit start to past the trainer screen (where u get to turn on cheats ect...). Dvd-r games seem to bootup fine but didnt have a chance to try to really play it and Psx1 games work fine. So the problem is some games bootup and play fine and other games bootup but freeze when trying to start a new game. M2 pro 1.07 installed on a brand new V7 with trace cut. And no its not my media, the games I have trouble booting up work fine on my friends magic3. Any tips on which point could be causing this?? thx.

It acctually could e the media. Your friends ps2 may like it and yours maybe not. If its media like verbatim then your ps2 could like less expensive media Ie: Princos. Just trying to help. -Kevin

Would like to add..Sum ps2 games boot fine like guilty gear x but sum other games Boot up FINE but gives me the black screen when I try to Start a New Game like in Maximo..All my games are burnt are fuji film cdr brand. Games that freeze on me work fine on my friends ps2.

Check all connection for cold soldering.
If its ok the your laser unit is down.
Try to put the drive from your friend and test the games (all the drive unit is 4 cables )
