About LinkBacksi just installed the m2 1.22a to a v7 and all i get is a black screen and the green and blue lights on at the same time. the DVD drive spin fine and eject also is fine went to the faq and nobody had this problem with both lights on.

hold down RESET for 10 secs. when starting the ps2, see what you get.

Please look at the Messiah 2 chip. If it is 301 or 303 there have been reported cases of pins being bridged (other than 1 & 2 which should be bridged).
So look along the MNOP row and see if there are any bridged legs. Or measure from pad to pad on the chip edge. There should be no continuity.
