Can anyone shed some light on my problem?? I'm seeming to have problem boot DVD movies with M2.. but once I disable M2 the DVD movie plays well. just tying to figure out is that the way I have to do it? would be real nice if I don't have to disable M2 every time I want to watch TV..

    Thank in advance..

PS: I install my M2 myself. mybe I did something wrong =(

I assume you are holding reset button until eject light turns blue (ps1 mode)??

That is the way I watch DVD with m2.

yeah , it weird , i have a Messiah 2 . and when i put in DVD-R backups it plays perfectly no matter how i load them, but on my PS2 originals i get the red screen of Death, if i disable the mod chip the original plays just fine, odd, i havent tried it with movies since i dont use my PS2 for DVD movie playback , i have a Sony Progressive scan standalone for that. Its not a big deal considering that my backups play fine, but i know what you mean ,it can get irritating at times if you forget.

Thank You Thwiipp2000 & drongo22, for you reply..

"I was under the impression that I did some thing wrong".
It kind of odd, you have to disable the chip just to play DVD movies.. Would have been real nice if you could have just booted it just like a CD-R or DVD-Rom games. Haven't had the chance to test it with a DVD-R back up as of yet. maybe later on this week, I'll make a run the my local (BB) and rent a game..

The problems I get are when I pop a DVD-movie in.. the browser come up asking me to choose btw.. memory card or PS2 Disc.. when I select the Ps2 disc, screen goes black for like 3 sec, then comes back and ask me the same question.
