Lost, confused, and spoiled for choice :(

Hello, I apologise if this topic is in the right place, but it should be somewhat relevant anyways. I'm looking to mod my PS2, it is a V7 I believe, either that or V8, don't have it with me to confirm at this time.

I want to be able to play backups/imports of PS1 and PS2 games on it, and install a HDD for using emulators on. If I can load games off of it, that's nice too, but I can get by without that.

Is there any particular chip/something else I should be looking at to achieve this?

Try to get a Crystal Chip 2.0 Pro/SLE that is what you want
