LOSS of CD-R boot!

when i put a CDR backup thats always worked for me in my ps2...it attempts to boot...and right before it would show the playstation2 symbol, it goes back to browser, then in a flash to RSOD!

whats going on

also the laser is very noisy and weird.....

i have a V7 messiah2 ps2

with a shitty V6 laser

(im saying shitty because im teasing the guy who gave it to me, u know who u r ) lol

how long have you been using the laser for, and was it new when you got it... you seem to be hinting at what I am thinking. Don't you feel it may be a laser problem?

I had a problem with cd-r backups booting sporatically on my v4 with a magic 2... I redid the J wire, and that fixed the problem, but I don't know what the J on the Magic 2 corresponds to on the Messiah 2, I also don't think it is the same problem.

me either, for some reason my games do not work but qcast on cd-r boots up just fine..

that is strange... dumb questions... these are the same cd-r games that used to work? or are they new ones?

used to work all the way from my V1 neo1 USB mod

which is a hind to you that im not a n00b
