Hi Everyone,
I am new to this site. I live in Sydney Australia and I am looking for
someone who is experienced and qualified to install a mod chip into
my PS2.
Can anyone suggest someone who can do this in Sydney.
Thanks

Look in the "Buy Sell Trade Vendors" forum.
Paul - if you have your own chip and can't find an installer in Sydney - send your station down to me (SA) and I will install your chip for you. $80AUD + return postage.
If you don't have your own chip then email or PM me your model number - SCPH-xx002 x and I will recommend a chip and total install price inclusive of chip.

Paul,
just got 2 chips done in the slimline ps2 from a place called Consoletronics in bankstown, pretty cheap too $120 give em a call 0297093065 there is another place in parramatta called quadtronics and they want like $195 for the same job. if you want i can send ya a picture of the install very neat i have seen some thats are very average indeed and see the soldering exp required would never do it myself....
hope that helps...
Udamnit
http://www.quantronics.com.au I think is who you meant - they are good people but you do pay for quality.
An indication is the google rating of their site - they score a 5 - http://www.consoletronics.com/ only scores a 3. (I have 4 used to have 5 but have not been as active recently - plus changed domain names recently)
I have also heard of Quantronics but have never come across consoletronics so - can not vouch for them at all. Their install work looks ok as do their prices.
quantronics's modchip installation info: http://www.quantronics.com.au/?_s=pr...rod=PS-INSTALLOriginally Posted by ShadowKnyght
they only offer 10 days warranty, and the job in the pic does not look worth $125 to me![]()
Hi - so you run Consoletronics? well then wmb88 has been around here long enough to trust Paul.
wmb88 - yeah I think he is not so keen on installs anymore - I think he would rather just re-sell chips and accessories now-a-days. Agreed that install is very average - but from a brief look at the icon sized pic - I assume it is a very early install as it appears to be a magic3.1 which he has not sold in years.
