Lifted Clk pad on v5-6 what can i do to fix it.. –
I have installed a messiah 2 but the sound was cutting out
so i was going to move the clk wire to the alternative point but i lifted the pad..
So does anyone know how i can fix it ..please..
just use the alternate point the pad does not matter its a dead circuit anyway goes nowhere else so using the alt clock will solve your problem.
Thanks for the reply..
i just followed the track ans soldered to the second leg of the chip and it works great..
i wasn't sure if the pad was dead or if it went to the underside of the board..
I must say the messiah works better that the magic 3..
now if i can find a cheaper source to buy them in Oz i will be happy..
nice glad you sorted it i was going to advise you of the second leg but was unsure of your soldering skills.
Please entity, i broken this pin in a v7 and the pad too, i can solder this pin to the alternative clock to save my ps2¿ nothing of the pin in the motherboard to solder and i dont know the destination of this pin.
it goes to the 2nd leg of the chip as well
I don't understand why anyone is soldering to the 2nd pin leg of the IC (actually pin 143). My Install Guide (www.messiah2.com) clearly shows that CLK point to be a pad standing off the pin leg.
