    hello, I have a ps2 v5(pal) with a lens of mark "sanyo" and I would like to put a lens of mark "Sony". Which is the method, to adapt the lens "Sony" on the "sanyo"? Please to help me, I seek for a long time the method, thank you in advance

    Not possible unless you can swap the BIOS chips. That is my understanding. You'd basically have to swap mobos.

    The Sanyo laser in my yellow V5 pictured at left has given me many problems.
    The Yellow PS2 auto-boots all. PS2, PS1 stealth and DVD movies.

    P-Mods'- do you know the way of identifying which board is open faced sanyo, or closed faced sony, i have found no identifying marks to identify the 2 without having a drive connected.......
    BTW canartich59- pmods is correct you have to replace with the open face sanyo
