Laser/Rail reading problem

Hey guys, I recently got a new laser installed into my v2 ps2. But recently, when it tries to read Xenosaga and The Getaway(Both real versions, not backups) my ps2 gets up the "Playstation 2" screen, but after that, the laser tries to read the edge of the disc like crazy making a big noise. It's not scratching the disc, but it won't read the game after that. Any help?

Could be the microswitch that detects the inside end of the disk isn't working any more or needs cleaning out.

The same thing happens to my version of The Getaway, except its a backup.
