laser questions

been reading a bit about lasers most of it's pretty clear but a couple of questions if someone could help

is the v5 & v7 r type laser same as hd7 found in v9 & v10's...and i seen i'm sure in v8's


also how do you test coils in v9 & v10 & what should be the reading...i have attached piccy hopefully to help (this is a old knackered 400b) & if i'm right on my test, this one read between points 1 & 3 =1.5 ohm - points between 2 & 4 =4.9 ohm

any help would be appreciated
