Hongkong and China is different
An example from Bangkok to understand the rules!
There is a hugh shopping center full with pirated software, you get everything in all language for 3 US$ or 2.50 US$.
Pirated software is not allowed in Thailand. Sometimes USA, Mikisoft and everyone has power make pressure, there, visit this place, tell gouverment and Thai-Police with international police (say 100 people) are coming.
And guess what: There are no pirated CDs, every shop has the same 5 Originals. Many shops are closed, but everywhere you can still read the promotion for pirated software.
Why: Off course the police call 2 hours before the come. First they get money and second they see no reason why the should support Mikisoft and Sony or someone else, also without pirated software all the small companies would be dead. They do not have money for Originals.
But funny: Original software is also cheap there.
From BKK to HKG: Either someone chinese is really angree with Lik-Sang or Some companies spent a lot of money for the police and local gouverment to make it possible.
But usually such things last for a limited time.
Even if Hongkong is dead. Don´t worry: Shenzen, business area mainland in China would be more than happy to serve you all.
These people are not yet very international and it is not easy to deal with them. Some cultural missunderstandings, but for shure both sides will learn.........

good thing im from Manila, everything that can be pirated and imitated is sold all over this disgusting city. the police and goverment cant stop it coz it all came from them. hehehe dont you just love a corrupt and dirty goverment.
