LAN card and online playable games!

Hi to all
I would like to ask one question.
Is it possible play games not conected to internet but the direct to consoles.
For example
If you have 2 PS2 consoles with 2 LAN cards and 2 NFS undergound discs.
Can you play them conected directly with UTP LAN cable 2 consoles?

Or is there any solutions in this new 5000x consoles to play games like old models I-Link mode?

Any response will be apprecaited.

the game u are trying must support LAN-mode play. For one, Im 100% sure SOCOM2 supports this. However for NFS: Underground, i dont think so.

I also found other kind of USB netwrok adapter 10/100 and Tony Hawk 4 is supporting that. Now I can conect each other as many PS2 as I want I will put PCLAN Hub and will conect PS2 each other.
