Well looky here, i am back with another part of my story.

    How it all started

Anyways follks, so I got oen of homersimpson's la6508's installed, and oh my god, it ejects! As well, the laser's beam does work. But I got one problem. The disc drive is not spinning the discs. I only got the one v9 drive, but have v7 drives, will i be able to try them in the system. Any ideas what could be the problem now, like stated before I replaced the one fuse (PS8), and can't seem to find any other bad ones anywhere. Anybody happen to know which pins on the LA serve what purpose? Thanks again!

No particular offence but in that pic

    Ure soldering doesnt look amazing

You should leave the iron on it for about 4-8 secs for the solder to 'Flow' and it will give it a shiny look

This will make a better electrical contact then what you have done
Also if you have a magnifier you should have a look at your soldering, or use a multimeter to make sure that it is not shorted on any solder you made, or and close by you may have got with the iron
