I have 2 PS2 50002 and PS2 50004 with LA chip problem and yesterday I brought 5 pcs of LA chip from a friend . Good news is 2 PS2 50002 now works perfectly.
Will continue to update if there r any changes. At least happy that there is a solution now.
Anyway I got the LA chip for only USD11 . If any of u are buying at a very expensive price, dont let them profit you.
I am sure for bigger quantity prices are much cheaper.

My PS2 has browser but cannot load games. The lens seem to be jumping. Took out the modchip and still cannot load original.
Was lucky that the lens is still okay.
I just got the news that the LA chip I brought was a equivalent and not the original , theres why its cheaper. Sorry guys for misrepresentation. Anyway, Most importantly the LA chip is effective.

Hi, i have a problem, because i have 2 50004 with LA problem, but the problem is that before burning, the tracking coil and the another coil had both more than 5ohms. And after the La burned, now both lens have coils under 5 ohms !! So shall i replace the LA AND put 2 resistors ?? or only replace the LA ??? thanks.
