Has anyone tested this yet if it also locks up in the intro? And is there a way to play a backup of kingdom hearts with magic 3(.5) without using a switch? Like skipping the intro?

No there is no way around the magic chip 3.0 locking up on kingdom heart without a switch. Skipping the intro will only delay the lock up.
