Don't even mess with swap magic. Don't even put it in your brain. Trust me, I've been lurking around here for awhile and I know the pros and cons of things.

This is what I suggest you do.

If you are on a budget and you do not have much money to spend. Get yourself a Duo 2 SE. It is a basic chip capable of booting all backup media.

If you have some more money to spend, $30-40 more, then I recommend you get the Matrix Infinity. It is an advance chip with all the features. Here's a list of features plus more that's not added.

Also, if you have never soldered before I suggest you get an installer to mod your PS2. Look at my sig for who to install the modchip for you.

Oh yeah, you gotta have a dvd burner man. 95% of PS2 games are DVD based.

1-2 days is the return time. Usually one day. You ship to him USPS and he should get it within 2-3 days then he ship back with the same service.

How hard is it to solder. I am a lineman/electrician and I have never soldered. Do you think I could do it. Or should I send it in to be safe?

I would send it in if you have the cash but if you dont want to ruin your console then I would send it in. I hope this helps.

Send it. PS2 is very difficult to solder to. If you never soldered or work with solder before it just makes it worst. Many people just fry their PS2 on first attempts.
