Japanese 50000 remote compatible with US 50001?

I am looking into buying the official Sony SCPH-50000 remote from Lik-Sang because of its remote power on and off and eject functions that aren't currently on the US controllers. Does anyone know if these controllers work with the US SCPH-50001 with the built in IR? If I get the money, there is a chance I may buy it to test it out if no one knows. Thanks in advance for any input!

It should work with all 5000x v9 series..
