yes you can
I had mine modified with a Magic3.
About the diagrams, I used the one of the site I bought the chip from, probably they copied them from the china-magic site
But according to the majority of people in these forums, mesiah 2 pro is a better chip
but there is no 3000![]()
30000 u know wat he means
messiah2 on a V4 japanese PS2 is a bad idea. It fails to switch the video mode correctly when playing PSX games, resulting in interlaced display which makes for really blocky pixels and jagged edges during movements.
This is the reason I eventually replaced my M2pro (which worked well otherwise) with a DMS3. Not had any problems since.

If it helps, my magic3 has only given me problems with one DVD Backup(which by the way I think the problem is in the media).
So far I have played original jap games, original US games, CD backups US, cd backups pal, PS1 backups, DVD backups, audio CD. They have all worked fine, they booted, none of them froze during gameplay.
The only think I have not had a chance to try is movie backups.
The magic 3.1 is supposed to have fixed a problem that the 3.0 had that mede the games freeze.
So it would seem that it would work ok with your PS2.
I hope this information is useful
