Installing another mod chip
Installing another mod chip –
Hi, I have a v4 that used to have a DMS3 installed in it that worked with most games except for a few ripped cd games. A friend of mine (who installed it originally) and I wanted to fix this, so he uninstalled it and re-installed it, this time with ground-wrapped O and M wires. After that was done, it was a black screen, so we obviously took out the chip. The ps2 worked again, but every time the system was booted, you were brought to the initial ps2 startup screen, as if the bios was resetting every time... and on top of that, games no longer worked. So after about 2 weeks of my ps2 sitting there doing nothing, I decided to boot it up again and try to play a game. Surely enough, there was no bios resetting and games work perfectly to this day.
Now, I feel that I want to play backups again, so I want to get a mod again. The question is: should I? Should I get another mod or should I get a new ps2?
