I was able to follow a diagram online to solder the five wire chip to my ps2. I'm pretty sure the chip is installed corrctly, as I was able to run checks, making sure no pins were shorted. My ps2 works properly playing all my original games, but doesn't play any back-ups. The only change is that my cd try close automatically in a couple of seconds. (I think it's supposed to do that) Is my chip no good? I'm pretty sure the wires are having good contacts. Any help greatly appreaciated. Thanks in advance.
