Anway. can anybody place answer me...
I always update my MI firmware without burning it to cd. I'm using LaunchELF to do it. Since you mentioned you have USB thumbdrive, here is what I always do.
1. Download the firmware. Unzip it and you'll get .bin/.cue files.E.g for the latest 1.54 firmware, there will be infv154.bin and infv154.cue files.
2. Extract IUPDATE.ELF and DATA.BIN from the infv154.bin file using ISOBuster or UltraISO.
3. Create a folder in your usb thumbdrive e.g Matrix_Update and copy those 2 files in the folder.
4. Put your usb thumbdrive to your PS2 and boot LaunchELF and run it's Filebrowser. Choose mass: and navigate to the Matrix_Update folder and choose IUPDATE.ELF and press O button to run it. The upgrade firmware program will run and follow the instruction.
I can't seems to see my USB thumbdrive. what do i need to do?
Try to use the latest unofficial LaunchELF 3.41j and if that also fails to recognise your usb thumbdrive then your thumbdrive is not compatible.
I put the LanchELF in the USB drive too. DO i need to burn it to a cd and than used the USB to upgrade? Maby my USB just not compatible like you mentioned. >.<
