Infinity DONT load movies in V3

I have a problem with INFINITY in a v3 pal.
With MXL2 the console loads MOVIES from DVD mode and chip off mode very quik.
I take of the MXL2 and replace with INFINITY (keep the wires change only the mod ).
Dont load dvd movies at all ( direct with one reset , from browser , force dvd mode ) go to bronser and after i see the memory and a dvd disk .
With disabled the chip have the same results .
I have change the location (wiring ) of wires with no luck.
I put back the MXL2 and all work flashwelly

After this i install the same mod in a v9 and work like a charm.

Any idea ?????

If the PS2 does not play the DVD movies with the Modchip disabled than you have a short somewhere on the motherboard.

What about PS2and PS1 original/back-ups?

All work great exept DVD movies .
I change the mod ( only mod no wires ) with MXL2 and voila works great

very odd cause disabling the chip should allow u to boot the movies

i have the same problem too.. but mine is a v4 board..
can't seems to load dvd videos?
maybe matrix team can give us a explaination..

Press circle or square on the joypad (can't remember which) to force movie mode. This is a bug with a specific type of bios which should already be fixed in the latest chip upgrade.

after all the months of testing(hehe) they did, you'd think they would have fixed all bugs by now or at the very least seen that this feature DOESN'T EVEN WORK for these consoles. Does anyone have a v1-v4 which auto-boot DVD video does work?

It's very interresting that disabling the chip doesn't fix the problem as well, perhaps this is a side-effect of their software-controlled disable mode.

correction..
my v4 can load dvd videos with the mod disabled...
but i will try the "force movie mode"..

kinda funny rite??
anyway i emailed the matrix team aready..
