Im going mad, SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!

How hard can it be?
I go to install my PnP key, easy. I install it, put the ps2 back together...... no power, got worried so un-did it, pushed the chip more firmaly in into the ribbon connectors, now it works.
However there are some problems.

1 - On system startup, the tray comes out and in about 3 times before staying out

2 - When you place a disk in to play (normal legit copy) the tray goes in... and comes back out like it doesnt want to stay in, after like 5 mins of trying I get the tray to stay in with the game then when I go to browser it ses..... no data (therefore not reconigsing the disc)

3 - The tray normally stops, pauses and stutters as it goes in and out, like on going in it stops half way and then continues again.

PLEASE HELP!! What is causing this? Do I need to push the chip in even harder?

Well 4 hours later I have resolved it. I opened it up for the 4th time and set it up (ps2 connected to the TV) so then I could test it at the same time. Of course, I pushed the chip in further (which fixed the problems) and then it worked. So I turned it onto standby, then turned it off by the I/O switch at the back and finally the plug, I thought better be safe than sorry, I picked it up (Im sitting on the floor and its on a chair next to me) and lay it on top of my leg and yep, I got a quite a shock, an electric one at that Just proves you gotta be careful and not be careless
Spose it was my fault anyways

By the way, with the PnP u cant use 80-min cdr's, is that u cant use 80-min cdr's or u cant use games that are 80-mins +
eg. can I put a small game (40 min game) onto a 80min cdr and play it with my pnp chip?

the no-mod patches are a pain, but hey my local blockbuster are greatful for my modchip

You can use 80min cdrs as long as the data is less than 650mg. Most of my backups are on 80min cdrs. To confuse u more I have one game thats 665mg that works with PnP????? Go figure, but it works so I'm happy.
