If i replace the LA6508 can i put a sony laser lens instead of sanyo laser lens ???

my question is if i replace my LA6508 by this one

Can i after replace the LA6508 put a sony laser lens instead of putting a sanyo laser lens inside.

I ask you that because i've seen at www.chipspain.com
that they sell a LA6508 RII replacement part and it's write on the installation diagram that it's fully compatible with both laser ???
what does this mean???

Haniki, the LA chip is the same for both lasers but you cannot swap lasers on the v9/v10 as other components on mobo are proggied specific to each laser
