    Hi,

I have just installed a v1.1 modbo into a version 4 ps2 (pal) and a v2.0 modbo into a version 6 ps2 (pal). The problem I'm having is exactly the same for both chips and is as follows: When first turned on the chip works fine but after a few minutes it stops working (as if it is not installed or disabled). If I turn it off for a while and turn it back on then it works again for another few minutes. Has anyone any idea what could possibly be wrong? I have read on here about versions >= 9 needing the H pin connected. Could thid be true for earlier versions too.

Any help would be massively appreciated. This is really doin my head in.

    Cheers

    Mark

Dosent hurt to do the H point.
    Just do it.

H point is original using for patching when u have a NTSC or JAP console (im not sure which or if its both). The chip will still work if u do the H.
Hello. This is my signature. Nice? yeah? Thanks!

    Noting will not help here.
new Modbo chips is total crap and can be used only in v7>v13
old models have "bug" works 1st time , then chip looks dead ( need to power off and wait some 1min then try again ).
in v7>v13 all works ok ( if you uninstall from your v4 or v6 and install in v9 for example all will works ok )

I find the same thing as LordX. I do only PAL PS2, I can only get Modbo to work in V9>V13. I have tried leaving H not connected on V5 & V7 and no go for me and Modbo.

PAL v7 works ok for me "H" not connected ( dont forget to connect JoyPad ! or you will get Black Screen for 10sec and DVD games will not boot ).

Connect "H". But make sure you don't connect "G" on PAL console. This fixed my V5 and V7 installs. Works neat now.
Also somtimes console stays black screen forever if no power to unit for a while. You can fix this by holding START on controller 1 and then press RESET to power machine on. You should see DISABLED screen. Let go of START on controller 1, then HOLD RESET till machine shuts down. Then press RESET and you are back in business.
    Hope this helps.

I have the same problem with modo 2.0 and 2.1 and a pal v12. These chips are bad. First time chip es enabled, if you play for a while, next time you try to play a backup the chip is disabled, but if you wait 5 minutes with the play off, next time you try to play the chip is enabled. This happens on a Pal v12 and with modbo 2.0 and 2.1

Does the modbo 2.0 work with the 1.68 infinity firmware? Can anyone verify it works correctly? (how about the config screen as well?)
