  1. #1 Question I am new and CONFUSED
    Locoboy23 Guest
    Hi people
I am new here and I hope I can get help
I have bought a DMS3 Mod for my PS2, but I have a big problem.
    I have the
    SCPH-30001
    Serial U123
    NTSC U/C

I looked and I determined that it is a version 1 , but when I went to the DMS page to get the diagrams the board doesnt look like mine... and I checked the Version 2 diagram it looked exactly like my board... So I dont know if I should follow the diagrams for the version 1 or should I trust the Diagram 2..
Have you guys heard about this??
If so which one should I use???
Thanks in advance for any help

Loco, so your new huh? I would worry less right now about the version of your console and more about your soldering ability. Versions 0-4 are pretty advanced stuff, the dvd controller legs are a total bitch if you havent done them before. I can't remember exactly which version yours is but good luck anyway.

    Dont drink and mod

Do a search for soldering tips and tricks.

If your advanced already get ready to replace that laser sometime soon too.

    M8,
be very careful with ur soldering. those bios legs etc are very small. make sure u have the right size wire, solder and soldering iron and try keep it as neat as possible (glue very important) - alot of wires all going the same direction.

here is a very good website for soldering tips for ps2:

Good luck with the newer version!
This ps2 that you have is probably one of the first revisions of the v2...
I suggest you look for a v7 by the way, you'll get almost no modchip install problems, unlike the v9..
