  1. #1 Question how to reset ?
    kinezu Guest
    Hello there.

When i first started my Ps2 it asked me to configure it!

Now my question is, how to reset the console?

I tried taking the battery off the mainboard but it didn't work.

It may have simply been asking you to go into the System Configuration and set the Clock, Time Zone, Language, etc. No need to remove the battery for that (which would erase the CMOS setting again anyway...)

Just curious, but when you guys bought your ps2s brand new, did you have to set the time and date on the configuration? Mine already had it set to the right time, right out of the box, didn't need to set up the time at all. Weird...

If you leave your PS2 unplugged for an extended amount of time it might lose your time and date info. Thats how I used to do it with Dreamcast anyway.
