how long to hold button while booting dms3

how long do you hold the button down to put the dms3 in psx, dvd mode etc. do i have to hold the button everytime i hit reset to start up a new psx game ?

yeah i think you do need to press it everytime, and you just have to press it during the first couple seconds of black screen when you turn on the ps2.....don't need to hold it for more than 4 seconds or so...don't need to press at all for ps2 mode, it's default
