How to install Programs in MC (Infinity) using PS2 Menu (access folder MC0:/\BOOT ??)
How to install Programs in MC (Infinity) using PS2 Menu (access folder MC0:/\BOOT ??) –
I need some help.
IĀ“ve recently upgraded my ThunderChip (www.vtec.com.br) to a Matrix Infinity.
I saw some INSTALL.CNF files and already used an ISO I got in Internet to install HDLoader in my MC.
But I thought I would be easier to install the programs I want using PS2 Menu(-k). The only point here is to have access to the folder MC0:/\BOOT.
I donĀ“t see it listed but if I navigate through the MC files I can see that some of them (for instance the HDLOADER IĀ“ve just installed) are installed in this folder (MC0:/\BOOT\HDLOADER). The .ELF file is in the root of the MC, but it points to that folder mentioned before.
How to do that using PS2MENU (or something similar)? Is it possible?
Thanks in advance.
I use execftp068....i create a folder on /mc/0/BOOT/ and then just transfer the file as BOOT.ELF, thats it
I dont like to burn cds on every test.... ;-)
But I canĀ“t see a folder called BOOT in MC, thatĀ“s the problem!
hey there! if you donot use the memory manager boy do I have a tip for you, what I did was replace the MANAGER.ELF in the system dir, with my HDLOADER.ELF, and simply name it MANAGER.ELF
it sucked for me until I got the patch to remove the DVD check, since I have a v9 I always had to have a disc in the tray
(alternatively you can just do this to your memory card of choice, that way you can have the best of both worlds! Memory manager/HDloader)
I figured it out but in another way.
