    How do you check if a bios chip has blown or corrupt
    trying to help a guy on another forum
    He has a v7 pal ps2 installed a magic3 with the clip system
    booted it up back screen.
    Removed the everything booted again still black screen
    my thought he may have done some damage to the bios chip if the clip was not seated properly
    How can can you test if the bios chip been damaged....

    What happened with a customer of mine is when they removed the bios clip it actually pulled at least 1 of the pins off the motherboard a bit. I had to touch each bios pin with my soldering iron and push them all back down to re-solder the connection. Once I did that it booted back up. Its worth a try.

    I 2 have seen the clip damage the Bios legs best to flux all the legs and heat every leg to make sure there is a solid connection again. This is hard to see even with a magnifier. O yeah one the PS2 boots again HARD WIRE THE BIOS! Do NOT USE the Clip!
