I keep reading these posts flaming the modbo and infinity se etc and was just wondering something.
Dont get me wrong I dont support them either and was quite upset when I was sold one not knowing it was a clone.
I just want someone to explain the difference.
(1) you can download a program to play ps2 games on your computer and your not told where but you can download the bios, isnt this the same thing and nobody cares about that.
(2) you can chip a sony to play games you havent bought, illegal yes but does happen, so people are ripping off the game developers, but nobody cares.
(3) if I came to you and said I have made a pstwo with ripped code and I can sell it to you for a third of the price of an original ps2, it might have a few little bugs but I am sure you guys here could help iron them out, you would all be jumping at the chance to get it up and running, a ps2 for a 3rd of the price, excellent.
But someone comes along with a chip for the 3rd of the price and everyone is jumping down thier throat about how bad they are and how bad the people are that use them.
I agree we shouldn't support them, but we shouldn't bag the people who do, a lot of these people only support them because its all they can afford, the same as a lot of people shop at those cheap import stores because they get something cheap, it may not last as long but its all they can afford.
If modders tell people they are getting a clone then it should be the individuals choice, if there told there getting the real deal and are instead sold a clone, shoot them.
just had to have my say, sorry if it upset anyone
