I installed the boot manager for the crystal chip...and it just freezes everytime I try to boot a game...How do I remove this from my memory card?

I can turn the chip off, I look at the memory card, there is the boot manager as 'corrupted data.' I try to delete it, but it is copywrite protected, so, that's a no....

So, um simply, put, What the ****?

I'd try running Execftps on your console, connect via FTP, find the directory of the bootloader and delete it via FTP.

If this doesn't work, you can at least back up your other saves via FTP, format your card with a memory card formatting tool and transfer back your files. I had to do that a few days ago because I got a corrupted memory card file system (couldn't even delete the files via FTP - the console crashed), because someone turned the PS2 off while NFSU2 was saving....

just delete the blocks using the ps2 internal browser. Be sure to uninstall all of your bm applications before deleting the blocks. You are probably running an old version of BM with a new version of the firmware. This causes a crash when booting discs because BM relies on the firmware to authenticate the disc. You have to update your BM installtion every time you use a new firmware.

Guy, you are giving me options, that aren't possible....

Due to the fact there are subdirectories inside the bman directory, you just can't delete it thru the ps2 browser. Well, you can delete bman using a pbat script:
    Code:
    Code:
    RRM mc0:/BOOT

I forgot where I got that....but, of course, I've already tried to delete it through the internal browser, but I have no idea how to do the above...

Have you tried booting the game without the memory card in? That's the easiest way to 'bypass' BM.

Also, agentboolean, I thought that the new CC BM no longer relied on the firmware to load game? From $ony browser, backups won't boot anymore.

Booting the game isn't the problem, I don't want it on my memory card...

I don't want the inconvenince of removing and inserting the memory card, every time i want to play

    Oh, ok... misunderstood.

The EASIEST way I would recommend is to burn the CC BM Mega Pack 1.5 from here,

    http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/show...ghlight=bm+1.5

Then load BM, put in the disc, and if you can't just run it from the disc (I can't recall, and I don't have it in front of me) then just select INSTALL, and install the MC Manager app to your memory card. Run MC Manager. Now that the program is in memory, remove your memory card and place it in slot 2, then proceed to format.

    I hope this helps.
