I have opened the top cover, but now I find myself with all the components.
    They are hiding the motherboard.

I would like to check the modchip. How do I do that?

you can look for a disasembly guide on the net and get down to the mobo and take a pic.. then post it and we can tell you..
Or you can tell us your booting methods!

I've been spending hours looking on the forum and on the net for guides or tutorials for the slim PStwo dissembly and I've found only one that only tells how to remove the top cover by removingthe bottom screws.
There seems to be only guides for the PS2. That doesn't help.

OMG and what's a 'booting method'?

alright well since u dont know ur booting method im assuming it autoboots everything.. (good chip)
To disemble the slim.. you have the top cover off, now unplug the switch at the botom right, unscrew the screw between the controller plug ins, remove the 4 screws that hold the laser assembly down, lift it up and unplug the ribbon going to the bottom of the laser (not really needed unless u feel more comfortable doing it), remove the small screw that is under the bottom part of the laser assemble (below the spinner thing if it was sitting on the sheilding), now lift everything outta the bottom casing and flip the shielding over.. now remove all the tiny screws from the sheilding and then lift it off.. you can now see your modchip!

These are the best pictures that I've been able to take. Cam is only 1.3mp.
I can find another camera later though.
    On the chip, it's written:

    Super-7

Here are two more pics. Still very blurry though.

I'll try to find another camera tomorrow.

Thanks a lot for your help!
