How can you tell if its a FAKE Matrix Infinity?

Hi,

I would really appreciate it if someone can answer my question.

I just paid a guy a lot of money to install a Matrix INfinity on my slim PS2.

I am worried he might install some cheap, fake clone of the Matrix Infinity.

Is there anyway I can check to see if I have a real Matrix Infinity.

Like is there some CD that would authenticate it?

you could try update it to the latest firmware - if it fails to boot after the upgrade, then chances are 99% that its a fake.

just to let you know if you didnt reolise that will kill your chip if it is a clone and you will have to buy another

oh yeah - forgot to mention that

then you will have to go bash the mod installer over the head if he promised you the real deal.

So if it is fake / clone, will it only kill the chip? or kill my Playstation 2?

your ps2 will just be as if it had never been chipped if the chip dies

So can you tell us what happpened? did you flash your chip? if so was it fake or real and if it was fake what chip was it?
