    you'd have to open it up and check with a multimeter that pin17 of the LA is connected to 5V. also check that the pin has been lifted clear and it not still making contact with the 12V. if the pin hasn't been lifted check underneath the board - summones fix (i think is his fix might've been applied where you cut the track.
