How can i know what Mod-Chip is installed in my PS2 ?

I got my Sony Playstation 2 today, and it was Mod-Chipped in China, and the someone who chipped it did not tell my father wich kind of chip is installed inside it. Is there any possiable way to know what kind of mod-chip is installed in my PS2 without opening it ?

Some of the better chips will have their logo below the Playstation 2 logo upon game boot up, so check for that. If there is no logo, you know it's not a DMS4, Ripper or Matrix. If there is no Playstation 2 at all, it's a Crystal. Coming from China, I'm going to guess you have a Magic chip or some clone...

Open it up! Mind you with some of the clones I've seen there's no label on them. Just be happy if it works.

It trust the someone who installed me the chip that he won't sell me shit it's a good friend of my daddy and my daddy buys alot of electronics from him each time he's in hong-kong or china, so the fact that he would cheat me does not bothers me, but I just want to know what did he put there... :P
