How big is your soldeerstift in MM

can someone tell me because i don't know witch one to get 0.5mm or the 0.1 mm and what size of tin you use.
btw een soldeerstift is the actual point witch u use to connect the solder to the pcb, dunno what it is called in english

I have a .5 mm tip on my iron

I use a 0.4mm but a 0.2mm would be nice for CD/DVD contoller legs and the V9 vias...

0.4mm is more universal to use though - you can do bigger wire and small wire - a 0.1mm tip looses heat to quick to solder large wire so you would need two irons to complete a job.

A 0.5mm would require some skill on chip legs but is just as useable as my 0.4mm.

tnxx just ordered a 0.5mm and a 0.4 mm(if they have a .4mm).

Man i could just chip my xbox using A 1.0MM tip LMAO think this ps2 chipping could be a friggin nightmare the first time. Damn don't i love that feeling of insecurity :P

Sorry for the dutch in between but the first dude was acusing me of something thats not my style, and the second dude offerd me to help me chip my first ps2 if i would help him with his xbox, so i responded that i'll help and that it'll be a piece a cake
