Horrible boot rate on V10
Horrible boot rate on V10 –

Hi, I just joined this place, and theres so much info here!
Anyways, I modded my v10 with a mini50k and the boot rates are horrible. Sometimes it would boot up, and sometimes it would give the red screen of death. Thinking it was the mod chip, I installed a Duo 2 se, and it still gave the same problems. So I was wondering if these mod chips have had problems with v10s. I did some searching and I heard that duo2se's weren't that good for v10, could someone confirm that? Ans what mod chips would be good for v10? Thanks!

I personally have never had problems with v10 and duo 2 se. I just heard the same things. But since you have problems on both modchips I'm getting it is the media that you are using. Make sure you use something like ritek or verbatim dvd-r. Do not use no name brand dvd-r or anything cheap. Burn the dvd-r at 2x max.

Did you happen to do a fix before you modded it? or is it only on backups? v10 shouldnt have any problem with a backup at all..

If you have make the ROMEO MOD ( +5v) try to supply the with +8v .
That happends in PS2 (v9-10) with DH7 lasers plastick.

Hi, thanks for all the replies. I used Riteks, so I dont think the media is the problem. I did do the Romeo mod, I think I used the 5+V. Are there any diagrams for where I can find the 8+? Thanks!
