    I have 2 GH-019 both wired the same one works great the other shows black screen with mod chip remove chip works fine so insalled a second chip and its black again anybody had the same problem

    I suspect they are not both wired the same. One has a writing or soldering defect from the description you gave.

    No the soldering is perfect however if i have found out that if i press the reset button twice the playstation starts and boots ps2 backups somtimes and ps1 backups shows the ps start picture (without the picture shift!!) and does not go any further
    ps charlie help?!

    well if you tap reset 2 times it may be trying to boot in ps1 mode since it noticed the reset line was being pushed for a longer amount of time than the single tap needed for ps2.....so if ps1 works i'm assuming one of your bios wires, or maybe a-i are in the wrong spot, and when ps2 mode is enabled it's sending signal through the wrong point and making your ps2 not function...

    i have removed the chip again and i will try again
    as answer to above it boots ps2 backup sometimes!!

    tryed on other boards these were bad chips i have sent them back!
