HELP! ps2 BIG problem!

UMMMMMM......When I press reset, the tray opens but when I press reset again, the tray does not go back in. I have magic 2 inside but not completely done. I took the reset wire out but the tray problem still exists. Now, none of the discs can be played, even the originals!!!!!!!!!!!!!They just don't boot and when i go into browser, the disc cannot be found(displays no data)Is it possible that i blew up something? I vaguely remember hearing a pop.???!!

Did you read the Troubleshooting Guide or the Magic 2 Behaviour post?

Is this a Magic 2 Clone with the Z wire attached? If so it must be detached.

No. it is a v3 ntsc ps2 with magic2 red pcb

i would check charlie_ps2's sticky posts for troubleshooting, like he said... I doubt that you did perm damage to your system. My neighbor F'ed his up really bad by not being very careful or gentle, and it wasn't booting at all. I still managed to get it to work find after taking the chip out and cleaning it up.
