Help with problem

Hiyas,

I have a problem -- I tried to install a Latin chip (was supposed to get duo, they sent wrong one :() onto my V7, and failed miserably. I removed the mod, and now the PS2 boots up, however the sound is messed up -- it gives a siren like sound, and it doesn't wanna finish readin discs (it'll detect them, but do nothing about it)

What's my problem here?

Most likely either one of the ribbon cables is not inserted properly or you still have a short.

Try using a disposable razor blade to check that there is no bridge between the chip legs where you soldered.
