Help for a NEO 2.2 old-timer?

Its been years since i last played my v4 PS2, it runs a NEO 2.2. I've just recently come across a DVD9 burner, so i'm here to get back up to date on what i can do with this chip. I know it must seem ancient to most of you, but long story short, i'm going to keep the chip.

Ok, so i have a NEO 2.2, two gamesharks versions 1.6 and 2.0, and a Devil May Cry demo disc. I downloaded the booting procedures all over again, but what i want to know is this:


Is what i have enough to play EVERYTHING besides DVD9 discs? or are there some games that are known to have issues with my chip/booting methods, that i should look out for?

I've been away from the ps2 modding scene for so long, i must admit i really dont know anything anymore, so any pointings in the right direction would be most appreciated. thanks.

well.. im not sure if any newer games need patches

but dmc demo disc will boot any game out there (including the dmc game).. atleast at that time it would have..

i dont believe theres any bigger games accept dvd9.. dmc demo was huge (a few bytes bigger then the actual game)
