I did as u said loy and same problem
Never say Never
do u have a gameshark or code breaker of some sort to swap disc. try the toehr way around no bios but only cd dvd wires then load up gameshark swap games when asked to swap disc press eject then eject in the back up shold boot if not then might be bad chip
Yes I have both gameshark and code breaker. But both are backups will they still work?
Never say Never
considering you'd be removing the bios wires and essentially using the chip as a swap chip instead of a direct boot chimp, while im not totally sure, i'm 99% positive it wouldnt work with a backup of a gameshark disc.
Azimuth adjustment.
Hi M8
Had same experience and located it to be the ground wire, try using either:
1) Thicker Wire
2) Alternative Ground Point
Make the ground wire as short as possible by positioning the M5 as close to the ground point as possible.
Hope this helps
The M5 is a fussy chip. Works perfectly in a good machine but will performs very poorly in weaker machines.
I have swapped the M5 out of 2 machines now & replaced it with the Smartchip. If your M5 doesnt work properly first time, fit a different chip.
It really is a good chip in a strong machine but, I cant help wondering how long it will last!
Try to isolate the (R) wire. You may have switched chips and had the same problem but sometimes a poor solder joint or 1 bad wire can cause the same problem. Try to remove ALL the wires and REDO the install. Seems drastic but it takes less time to rewire than it would take to trace down 1 bad wire or solder joint.
I have almost the same problem here... nothing load, not even original.. it keep going back to the browser say press X or O.. when i press X, it reset the system and ruturn to the same menu with the same thing.....
by the way, same chip MAGIC V.. but my system is 39010 (v7)with network kit....
