Before I open up my unmodded PS2, it can read DVD Games
    & DVD Movies.
But after I open up all & put back everything, it refuse to read
any DVD movie or game and go into the browser screen.
Laser len making ti ta ti ta sound.
Only able to read my PS1 cd.
    What had happened?

I didn't understand wether you succeeded to boot PS2 CDs or not.
If you can , then it can be dirty lences - clean it with a brush CD.

If it didn't work, then one of the controller or the W points might be a cold joint, or loose solder.

    You're in big trouble

Let's see... You haven't told us what did you do... Did you install a chip? In such case, which chip was installed? Or... Did you open the unit to see what does it has inside? Or what did you do???

If we don't have a clue about what you did, we can't help you.

Well the set was unmodded. I open it up thinking of getting
it ready for the mod chip to arrive.
I took my PS2 appart according to the instruction at psxtune.
    I never solder anything yet.
But the network adapter I win at eBay arrive 1st so I put the
PS2 back by reversing the psxtune instruction.
When I load the Network setup disk, it won't load at all.
Tried my other 2 DVD games, some demo DVD and all DVD code
    one movies also don't load.
Browser give disc read error. Only my PS1 CD games will load.
Also the len got clicking sound when reading the DVD games
& movies, then browser show disc read error.
Everything working fine before I took the PS2 appart.
I still can't figure out what had happened.
All DVD games that I load on the US PS2 are original NTSC U/C.
Any of you might be able to help?

If you haven't already, take the system apart to make sure that all of the drive's cables are plugged in and in good condition. It could be that a flat flex cable is torn just a little. If that's the case, there are sites that you can order replacements from.

Really, do take it apart and put it back together again - carefully.

If you haven't touched the laser pots or changed anything else, it may work again when you re-assemble it.

I once re-assembled a PS2 and the laser wouldn't read DVD's. I took it apart, thinking it was ruined, then put it back together again - DVD's worked again.

Had tried dis-assembled & re-assembled for many times,
    still having the problems.

i think we've both happen to have the same problem. open up your DVD rom drive, look at the bottom of the lens housing. there's a yellowish-brownish ribbon cable directly at the bottom of the lens housing (please view the dvd-rom drive upside down), if it's slightly damaged, then you've got the exact same problem as i do.

as you, my ps1 games work (loads slowly though) Audio CD's work, and AR2 loads (slowly and noisily) but DVD's don't work at all (and noisy). Oh, and i also have a V4 ps2 :P.

Now if you have the same problem, well what a coincidence! :P
