no modchip inside –
was there ever a modchip inside? did anyone ever touch the cd/dvd pots/adjusters ? You really need to give all specific details on the ps2 if you want poeple to help you, we are nice enough to even ask you the questions.
yes I install a modchip(i think i am a professional solder) before but can't read any disc,so i toke off the modchip, still can't read any disc include original disc,i haven't touch the cd/dvd pots/adjusters.thank for your helping.
So everyone will tell you that the de-install has either left a solder ball somewhere, bridged something, or fried a component.
Check scex point for damaged component or bios chip for solder splashes.
i have checked scex point and bios chip points solding and desolding again also clean the point, but nothing happen still got the same problem,i can heard the dvd-rom swap and check the laser also have the red light,so what's problem please help me again thanks.
Are all the ribbon cables intact, un-damaged and secure?
What about fuses, have you checked them?
He's checked another mobo in his machine & it worked fine, that eliminates any laser/cable issues. The fuses are an easy check to do, but after that, its a magnifying glass me thinx.
