Help with Modbo 760 install –
Iīm trying to install the Modbo 760 chip in my v9 PAL PS2 according to the attached diagram.
It seems pretty clear but i donīt get what the "SCEX" soldering point on the PS2 is supposed to be connected to.
Also I assume the "RST" (Reset?) point is supposed to go to the "RE" point on the Modbo, right?
the SCEX goes to the upper contact on the tan resistor to the right of the "J106". Yes, "RST" goes to "RE". hope that helps.
Thanks for helping me out Eunoverse! I know where the "SCEX" point is on the ps2 mainboard, but what i don't understand is where it goes from there. There's no "SCEX" pad on the Modbo 760

Iīve given up trying to solder the points B, G and I in the upper left picture of the diagram. Instead I want to use the alternate points in the lower right picture. These seem to be located on the other side of the board. However that side is covered by some metal plate and heatsink and I just cant get it off even though I removed all screws. The heatsink seem to be glued to the processor or something and I don't want to use force. Does anyone know how to do this? I have a v9 PAL, marked SCPH-50004
Ya mine was stuck on really good too the first time i took it apart but a little prying on each corner it finally came off with no problems
