Help me identify my chip

I recently got a SCPH 39001 US PS2. It was already pre-modded and the guy I bought it didnt know what the modchip is.

So can anyone help me IDENTIFY it??
- direct boot PS2 DVD, CD's by simply pressing the reset button once the disk tray is closed.
- When I play PS2 games, the PS2 logo has a grey sometimes different colored backgrounds and not the usual black background, but the PlayStation2 logo is still white.
- Sometimes it cant read music CD's, especially fakes when I put it just when I enter the browser, same goes for fake DVD movies??

ANY HELP IDENTIFYING IT IS APPRECIATED.

garbled playstation logo sounds like the apple line of chips..

Hmm... many have said its apple chip, but I try the apple chips method of playing the PS1 games, and it quite unsuccessfull. Is the apple chip the ONLY chip which distorts the PS2 logo.

Also added info, I played a fake Guilty Gear X and instead of Playstation2 logo, something like cracked by somebody logo came out.

I dont dare do that! I'll not go that far away to know my chip. But any other help will be appreciated.
