  1. #1 HELP ME flash mistake with Modbo 2.0 modchip for V12/13 Slimline!!!!
    mase112 Guest
Good afternoon, I purchased a Slimline PS2 from a few months ago, it was modded with a Modbo 2.0 chip. Now although I was well aware that this chip is a knock off of the original Matrix Infinity chips and does indeed have 512k of flash memory. I decided to use this feature and upgrade the chips firmware with the latest Matrix firmware, the flashing did however not work and I reset the machine, now it will not boot any of my backups, so after some research I was reading that the maximum version that this chip can be flashed to was its original version of 1.54. So I decided to downgrade it by flashing it back with the 1.54 version but I ran into a wall as since it cannot read any other disks but original PS2 dvd's there is no way for me to flash this PS2 back to its working version. What can be done now guys? PLEASE HELP ME!!!

You could buy a cheaper chip. I recommend the H2O, about half the price of the Infinity.

It's not difficult to swap over chips as long as you can solder, you should be able to use the same wires for most of the points.

There's definitely no way to recover the modbo.

if the modbo was installed in a fat PS2, you can use memory card exploit to recover it. since you can not exploit with the slimline, so you are ****ed unless you like to install it in a v7 or something then flash it and install back to your slim.
